Ian's architectural career has included involvement with a number of high profile architectural and urban design schemes in and around London.Whilst with Alan Baxter and Associates he worked on the award winning 13 hectare urban extension in Upton, Northampton and also the Duchy of Cornwall's landmark project, Poundbury in Dorset.He went on to plan the 1,000,000ft2 Goodman's Fields masterplan, a mixed use development in Aldwych and also the design of c.5000 proposed new homes over a 109ha site for the Kidbrooke masterplan, South East London, both with Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands Architects. More recently, prior to founding Planning Permission London, he worked extensively between the disciplines of architecture, interior design and marketing, delivering brand conscious schemes for clients such as McLaren, Quintessentially and Baccarat.
Georgina has designed and realised many inspired homes and spaces in London, ranging from large city houses and apartments, to home extensions, basement design, loft conversions, home improvements, house refurbishments and interior design. Her architectural design concepts are shaped around each client's specific housing needs and she prides herself on being approachable and able to work with many different client types from first time buyers, families, high end clients and property developers. She strives to make the exciting process of using an Architect and building your project as seamless, efficient and enjoyable as possible for all those involved. She has established experience in planning permission procedures and architctural conservation design, translating a client's brief, construction and fit out detailing, m&e and lighting design, managing construction teams and high end specifications and interiors. Her role within the Planning Permission London team is to combine creativity with her practical knowledge to fulfil client wishes, taking projects through from the initial design stages to on site reality.
Throughout Deborah's interior design career she has been involved with the design and procurement of numerous high end residential developments in and around central London. Whilst Creative Director at award-winning interior design studio Mdesign London, she completed the concept, planning permission, specification and detail design for projects of many various sizes and budgetary requirements. With a flair for detail design, Deborah's role at Planning Permission London is to create interiors which are a pleasure to inhabit and which remain tailored to each client's individual needs. She works closely with the planning permission London construction team to translate creative ideas into a practical build.
Over the past 17 years whilst working with London based prize winning Architects Benson + Forsyth, Jim has been involved from inception to planning permission and completion on a number of high profile buildings, including the Museum of Scotland and the National Gallery of Ireland, both nominated for the prestigious Stirling Prize. He has completed a number of residential and commercial buildings, including the award winning 'Bottle Lane' hotel and retail development in Nottingham. Jim has achieved planning permissions for schemes ranging from large scale retail, commercial and residential developments, including buildings at the Victoria Transport Interchange and Battersea Power Station sites within London. In addition he has much experience in working with smaller arts and cultural buildings, including the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery in Swansea.
Ross has 8 years experience as a London based project architect and has been responsible for a number of planning applications, design and residential building schemes. He was Project Architect for the award winning Bottle Lane, Mixed Use development in Nottingham's historic centre. Ross also worked on key landmark housing projects on Buckingham Palace Road and near Finsbury Park Station. Ross balances day to day architectural responsibilities with teaching the next generation of Architects by working with the University of Westminster's Unit 3 as a part time studio tutor for the 2nd and 3rd year Architecture students. He also performs visiting lectures at Liverpool University and the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow.
As project and cost manager over the past 40 years Tony has possibly seen it all, but always looks forward to a fresh construction challenge with Planning Permission London. With building projects including accommodation for workers erecting Abu Dhabi's largest cat cracking plants in the 1970's to the Mount Pleasant Airport permanent accommodation in the Falklands for both the Army and Airforce, project experience has been wide and varied. Latterly concentrating on residential, retail leisure and care projects, clients have included Barracuda Group, Arcadia, Voyage Milbury, Club Mediterranean, together with many private clients for apartments, houses and hotels.
Mark has been immersed in the world of London based construction and engineering from an early age and now has 22 years experience within the industry.He ran his first project at the age of twenty and has delivered numerous projects for clients in the private and public sectors ranging from bespoke offices for architectural practices to high end retail and residential developments. He has worked with many reputable UK construction outfits such as Mowlem, Costain and Faithdean, predominantly in London and the South East. His construction philosophy is that simplicity of communication leads to the procurement of successful projects and that nothing is impossible. It is this attitude and dedication that earned him the Gold Award for Considerate Contracting from The Corporation of London.
Mike Hayes CBE
Mike is a chartered town planner with over thirty years experience in urban planning and regeneration in Liverpool, Glasgow, London, Watford and Northampton. He was President of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2004 and is a member of its Executive Board. His experience embraces both strategic and operational management and a wide range of planning, regeneration and community and development initiatives. He was appointed Commander of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours List in June 2008 for services to local government and the voluntary sector. He is director of Michael Hayes Consulting Ltd and works closely with Planning Permission London on suitable schemes.
